DESCRIPTION:ATIS­MIA („All that is solid melts into air“) beschäf­tigt sich mit diver­sen Vor­stel­lun­gen von Uto­pie und Dys­to­pie im digi­ta­len Zeit­al­ter. Die frü­he Digi­ta­li­sie­rung brach­te einst Ver­spre­chun­gen von dezen­tra­li­sier­ter Macht, demo­kra­ti­sier­tem Wis­sen und glo­ba­ler Ein­heit sowie Visio­nen einer stär­ker ver­netz­ten Zukunft mit sich. Im Lau­fe der Zeit zeig­ten sich jedoch auch immer mehr düs­te­re Aspek­te, die durch Über­wa­chung, sozia­le Ent­frem­dung und uner­bitt­li­che Kom­mer­zia­li­sie­rung gekenn­zeich­net sind. In der Aus­stel­lung bewe­gen sich ver­schie­de­ne künst­le­ri­sche Posi­tio­nen ent­lang die­ser kon­tras­tie­ren­den Per­spek­ti­ven. Instal­la­tio­nen, Talks und musi­ka­li­sche Per­for­man­ces erkun­den die hoff­nungs­vol­len wie auch die des­il­lu­sio­nier­ten Facet­ten digi­ta­ler Tech­no­lo­gien und ihren gesell­schaft­li­chen Ein­fluss – künst­le­risch reflek­tiert aus der Per­spek­ti­ve einer Gene­ra­ti­on, die inmit­ten die­ses Para­dig­men­wech­sels auf­ge­wach­sen ist.\nATIS­MIA wur­de im Rah­men des Open Calls für das Pilot­pro­jekt der Co-Kura­ti­on des Oran­ge­rie Thea­ters aus­ge­wählt, der jun­gen Kurator:innen und Kol­lek­ti­ven eine Platt­form bie­tet, um inter­dis­zi­pli­nä­re Pro­gram­me zu ent­wi­ckeln und die kul­tu­rel­le Teil­ha­be einer neu­en Gene­ra­ti­on in städ­tisch-geför­der­ten Kul­tur­in­sti­tu­tio­nen zu stär­ken. Co-Kura­tio­nen ver­schie­de­ner unter­re­prä­sen­tier­ter Per­spek­ti­ven im Thea­ter sol­len zukünf­tig 1/3 des Spiel­pla­nes der Oran­ge­rie ausmachen.\nATIS­MIA (“All that is solid melts into air”) explo­res nar­ra­ti­ves of uto­pia and dys­to­pia that have emer­ged within the digi­tal era. Initi­al­ly hai­led as a path to decen­tra­li­zed power, demo­cra­ti­zed know­ledge, and glo­bal unity, the digi­tal world offe­red visi­ons of a brigh­ter, more con­nec­ted future. Over time, howe­ver, this land­scape has brought more dar­ker aspects, mark­ed by sur­veil­lan­ce, social ali­en­ati­on, and relent­less com­mer­cia­liza­ti­on. Through instal­la­ti­ons, talks and musi­cal per­for­man­ces, the hop­eful as well as the worry­ing dimen­si­ons of digi­tal tech­no­lo­gies and their influence on socie­ty will be artis­ti­cal­ly explo­red from the per­spec­ti­ve of a gene­ra­ti­on that has grown up with this para­digm shift.\nATIS­MIA was sel­ec­ted as part of the open call for the Oran­ge­rie Theatre’s co-cura­ti­on pilot pro­ject, which offers young cura­tors and coll­ec­ti­ves a plat­form to deve­lop inter­di­sci­pli­na­ry pro­gram­mes and streng­then the cul­tu­ral par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on of a new gene­ra­ti­on in city-fun­ded cul­tu­ral insti­tu­ti­ons.
